  1. What is Abacus ?

    Abacus is the first calculating machine invented by man. This tool is used for doing basic arithmetic calculations (Additions, Multiplications, Subtraction’s & Divisions).

  2. Do you teach mathematics in Abacus Classes ?

    No. We do not teach Mathematics. Mathematics is a vast subject. We teach only basic Arithmetic’s using Abacus as a tool.

  3. Whether there is any specific period for admissions to Abacus & Vedic Maths courses ?

    No. Unlike schools, there is no specific period for admission. Students can enroll any point of time. Once 15-20 enquires are received, a new batch can be started.

  4. Whether the Abacus method helps the child in doing their mathematic’s better ?

    Since the children learning this method are taught the basic arithmetic’s, they feel confident, work faster and perform better in mathematics.

  5. What are the benefits of Abacus Training ?

    Abacus Training helps in developing the Concentration, Listening Skills, Logical thinking, Photographic Memory, Visualization, Speed & Accuracy. Abacus helps in boosting child’s confidence, in carrying out their maths calculations and develops mental calculation abilities. Abacus also helps in enhancing the problem solving abilities of the child.

  6. What is the recommended age to start learning Abacus Training program ?

    The ideal age group for learning Abacus Training Program is 4 to 12 years as the growth of nerves and tissues is rapid during this age. However, if the child is young, we need the co-operation of the parents in imparting the skills as they may not be in a position to raise doubts / ask questions.

  7. My child is very good in Mathematics / My child is studying in 6th class. So whether we can enroll him directly in higher levels ?

    No. Irrespective of child’s age, knowledge about mathematics, every child will be given admission in the First Level of the program only as in the first two levels we teach every child how to identify the values on Abacus, how to hold Abacus, how to move the beads, how to use formulae etc., As the children, who are formally not trained in Abacus are not aware of these techniques, they need to be enrolled in to First level program only.

  8. Does Abacus Training conflicts with the school’s method of teaching maths ?

    No. The child should follow what ever method the teachers uses in school. Once the child learns the method and moves to higher classes, the child can use Abacus method to work out those sums / to re-check their answers.

  9. Whether the syllabus is stressful ?

  10. Can a child take break during examinations at school ?

    No. We suggest the child should attend the Abacus class even during their examination time as the subject is quite different from the school subjects and method of teaching is mixed with fun. The children will enjoy the class and refresh themselves before focusing on their regular subjects.

  11. Can a child take break after completion of 2-3 levels and join after 5-6 months ?

    No. If the child takes a break for 2-3 months, it will be difficult for him to remember the formulae’s which he/she learnt in the beginning of the program. Since the child does not practice at home during the break, it will be difficult for him/her to visualize the image of Abacus and work the mental sums.

    12. Whether we need to buy any software to learn Abacus & Vedic Maths on online mode ?

    No. Normal Internet with more than 5 mbps speed will be sufficient to learn Abacus & Vedic Maths on online mode.

  12. How many hours a child need to attend the classes in a month ?

    Normally, the classes will be conducted twice in a week (duration – 1 hour). However, If the parent desires, classes can be conducted once in a week for 2 hours duration

  13. Whether parents need to monitor the child ?

    Yes. Parent need to check the home work completed by child. If the child is very young / slow learner, parent should support the child in learning the methods taught in the class. If the child is grown up and does the home work on his own, monitoring can be minimised.

  14. Whether the online classes are effective ?

    Wonderkidz Arithmetika Abacus & Vedic Maths classes are very effective as the lessons are customized depending on the child’s grasping. Our tutors will focus more on the concepts, corrects wherever the child makes mistakes and guides them. The tutors also systematically design their lessons based on the students grasping so as to give the best possible education to the child.

  15. Whether any demo class can be arranged ?

    Yes. Before starting the classes/Registration, one demo class will be conducted to assess the child, clarify the doubts of parents. Once the parents are satisfied with the demo class, regular classes can be scheduled.

  16. How to schedule the classes ?

    Classes are scheduled based on the mutual convenient days and time. For ex: If your child opts for Monday and Friday from 6.00 PM to 7.00 PM, every week, classes will be conducted on the same day and time every week. The day/time can be changed later on depending on the schedules of child-tutor.
